Linda Mresy

Actress (Rome, Italy)

An Italy-based child actress of Tunisian ancestry, Linda Mresy was born in Rome, Italy. She was chosen to appear in the role of Samira, a Tunisian 10 years old little girl based in a Southern Italian city, concerned about the health of his older brother Jamil, at risk of being expelled or removed from his family if they go to an hospital: that is the storyline of Bismillah, a short film by Alessandro Grande, filmed in Arabic at Italian language at Catanzaro and supported by Calabria Film Commission, also starring Belhassen Bouhali (Jamil) and Basma Bouhali (Samira). Premiered in March 2018, Bismillah received the David di Donatello Award from Italian Film Academy as Best Short Film. In May 2018 Linda was selected again to co-lead in Maurizio Zaccaro’s Lacrime di sale (Tears of Salt), a feature film inspired from the book by Pietro Bartolo, to be filmed in the island of Lampedusa and featuring also Miloud Mourad Benamara.
